Demolition uncovered the spectacular shell of the neglected heritage building, and the contemporary additions aim to highlight the pre-existing features. The built insertion conceptualises the kitchen at a more vernacular scale, and surrounding design elements reflect traditional Mexican craft, including rope-strung benches, graphic patterns, and Acapulco-inspired light fittings.
